Started my Coding Journey (Didn't quit my job though)

These past few weeks I have been seeing so many “I quit my job and learned how to code” post that I wanted to share my version of that.

I recently went back to school for a degree in Computer Science. I am currently enrolled in an remote computer science post-bach program through a university. Now if you did not know post-bach just means that you already need to have completed one bachelors degree to qualify.

I had a total sum of zero computer science experience.

So the process of finding the right program for me for intense. I did a lot of research on the kind of path into computer science that I wanted to take. The amount of programs, boot camps, code academies, tutorials, and “I Learned How to Code in 14 Days and Now Make $300,000” out there is truly overwhelming.

What led me to choose a university and go the traditional academic route was the structure involved and the range of the curriculum. Additionally although this may be a dated way of thinking depending on who you ask, I really wanted a degree as well when I finish.
